Looking up a lot lately.
galactic wisdom
Lyrics
sitting on a bench is not like sitting on a train
sitting in the world is not like sitting in my brain
I don't need a screen, just a window to a backyard
I don't need to burn it down and I don't need to crash hard
but lately all my patience is escaping
I have that buzzy feeling like I'm grasping or I'm waiting
I can tell when I am peeking at the news sites
hoping for a little something that'll shed a new light
instead it's just a bunch of greedy dude fights
and never cool stuff like aliens landing crewed flights
I am seeking puzzles in a system
but also want a nugget of that ol' galactic wisdom
my favorite books are human but it's shifted
and we must learn to be us when it's all mixed up and twisted
since COVID, though, they're less apocalyptic
I prefer the heroes that are problem-solving gifted
it makes me feel uplifted, all the cleverness
I want to rap like Ryland Grace is handsome, smart, and generous
sometimes I fantasize that I'm alone in space
probably underestimating that I'd like to see a face
